Well I always hated how everyone in the X-Universe is jobless. Automated machines do the work for everyone. So how about the factory of the specific race now need to be fed and paid. You could even make a ware called workers and add them to your station, however they are not consumed in the production of factories but are required to speed up the process.
Example: Argon Cattle Ranch Product: Meastack Cahoona's or whatever it is lol Pri Resources: Energy Cells 2ndry Resources: Argnu Beef, Workers Let's say the factory can run without workers but the efficiency of this is decreased by 1/3. This means that now there would be a larger level for economy rather than get this ware and our automated machines will do this. Businesses that can push out their production faster have a better chance at earning the money. So now the player gets his SPP up and running, he can no longer instantly become the best in the market. Lets say an SPP requires 30 workers. Workers on an average cost 500Cr. Now a much more higher tech facility such as a Gamma PSG factory requires 300 workers but, as it is a better job also the payrate increases to lets say 1500Cr. SPP cost of 30 workers = 15,000Cr GPSG cost of 300 workers = 450,000Cr Now this cost for workers is large, I know. Lets now say that workers will work for free after you have paid that. Not so... once fully stocked on workers, 10% of the funds made from products being brought goes to the workers. Many people would see the not having to pay 10% of the products an exploit by not fully applying workers therefore, you could make it so that maximum efficiency is not aquired till all workers have been placed. The buying of workers I presume would need to be done through the station auxilary menu to have the money transferred for each worker brought. Otherwise how would a worker know how much he should be paid when he gets to a station. Much of it may be way too hard to implement but its just an idea thrown into the firing sights. |

my idea to that is.... that you must pay the workers every xuni week, the higher you pay them the higher productivity the station will achieve. Quote:

The wages should change dependant on the job role.
And as for efficiency... 50% should be based on how many workers you have another 50% based on how well they are paid. |

Reality with workers salary is a diminishing return, as salaries increase. It isn't linear. Neither is work accomplished with the number of employees. It also is a diminishing return function.
Let people find optimum, and perhaps make it different for each factory type. You might make one type run worse with people. ![]() |
